Pixel Lineage: Torment Guide to Modifiers and Chest Rewards
Prepare for Torment’s daily lands, afflictions, boons, and tier scaling, then reach the final chest for gear and permanent-progression Valor.
Pixel Lineage Torment is a daily three-land gauntlet for heroes who reach level 50 and finish the story. Prepare for the day's afflictions and boons, then prioritize defeating the third boss: its chest holds most of the run's Valor and a guaranteed Legendary or Epic TORMENTED piece.
This Torment run demonstrates the multi-land endgame rhythm; compare its fights with the day’s own modifiers.
The route and tier ladder
All players receive the same daily gauntlet. Each of its three lands has four floors before its boss, and the chest follows the third boss. Clearing a tier unlocks the next, with tiers running from I through XCIX and enemies becoming 20% tougher per tier.
The bosses have special mutations. Do not treat a higher tier as just a longer version of a story run: the daily conditions and boss changes can shift which part of your build needs attention.
Read the day's afflictions before entering
| Affliction | Pressure to plan for |
|---|---|
| Swarming | One additional foe in ordinary fights |
| Ironhide | 40% more foe Defense |
| Bloodthirst | 15% more damage from foes |
| Giants | 25% more foe HP |
| Warlords | 35% more boss HP |
| Elite Patrols | Twice as many champion/mini-boss events; those foes gain 20% HP |
| Cold Camps | No campfires |
| Cursed Skies | 15% foe HP and 10% Attack/Magic increases in every fight |
Cold Camps makes recovery planning different because campfires are absent. Ironhide changes the value of your offensive plan by increasing Defense. Warlords concentrates more pressure at bosses. Choose preparation for the actual modifier rather than repeating the same route assumptions every day.
Boons provide different opportunities
Gilded Road adds 40% battle gold and XP. Valor's Call adds 25% Valor. Second Wind heals 20% HP after a win, while War Chest adds another chest gear piece. Hunter's Moon makes secret bosses four times as likely, Sharpened starts battles with Inspired, and Lucky Find doubles gear drops.
These benefits do not remove the accompanying danger. A reward boon is useful when you can reach the payout; a recovery boon affects whether you can keep the run stable. Read both sides of the day's rules together.
Aim for the chest before forcing the next tier
Torment is the source of Valor, with small amounts from wins and the largest portion at the chest. The first daily chest grants 1.5× Valor. A reliable clear is therefore a practical early objective before chasing the highest available tier.
Return to permanent Lineage progression with the rewards. Stronger ranks can help future heroes as well as the current one, giving a completed Torment run value beyond its immediate gear roll.
