Pixel Lineage: Talents Guide: Passives and Their Triggers
Compare seven talent effects and roll chances, understand Survivor’s health threshold, and separate combat bonuses from growth and rewards.
Pixel Lineage talents are rolled passives, not points on a skill tree. Seven listed talents provide different combinations of survival, offense, Energy, growth and rewards, so read the effect and its trigger before treating a rarity label as a build recommendation.
This gameplay video shows the interface and turn-based rhythm that the following choices use.
The seven talent effects
| Talent | Listed chance | Passive benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Survivor | 30% | 6% max HP; one qualifying lethal-hit rescue per battle |
| Keen Eye | 22% | 5% crit chance and 2% dodge |
| Quick Study | 18% | 12% XP and 15% mastery |
| Iron Soul | 14% | 6% Defense; 30% chance to shrug off a harmful status |
| Arcane Spark | 10% | One extra starting Energy and 8% Magic |
| Fortune's Favor | 5% | 10% gold, 8% loot and 2% jackpot chance |
| Prodigy | 1% | 5% Attack, Magic, Defense and max HP; 2% crit; 10% XP and mastery |
The probabilities describe the roll, rather than the chance of a passive activating in battle. For example, Iron Soul's 14% roll chance and its 30% harmful-status resistance chance answer completely different questions. Keep acquisition odds separate from the effect once equipped.
Survivor's rescue is conditional
Survivor raises maximum HP by 6%. Its Endure effect can leave you at 1 HP once per battle when a knockout blow arrives from above 20% HP. Entering the hit while already below that threshold does not satisfy the stated condition.
This makes it a helpful safety net while learning, rather than permission to ignore health. If the rescue has already occurred in the battle, do not plan the next lethal hit around receiving it again. Healing and defensive timing remain relevant even with a survival talent.
Opening resources and growth serve different goals
Arcane Spark's extra starting Energy can change an opening spell plan, and its Magic bonus supports magical attacks. Quick Study instead speeds XP and mastery gain. Fortune's Favor improves gold, loot and jackpot chance; those rewards help your broader progression but do not directly prevent an incoming hit.
Prodigy distributes bonuses across Attack, Magic, Defense and maximum HP, with additional crit and growth. Its broad benefits make it appealing, but the 1% listed roll chance does not make it necessary for a working hero.
Treat spins as a separate resource
A new hero begins with three talent spins. Codes, events and the shop can provide more. Decide whether the current passive meets your immediate goal before replacing it. A common Survivor can be more useful for learning a difficult fight than a rarer passive aimed at accumulating gold.
